Architectural Photography

In addition to measured drawing documentation, I can also produce basic architectural photographic documentation. In the example below, I photographed a warehouse that once stood at 718 Sophia Street in Fredericksburg, Virginia. George Heflin constructed this warehouse in 1926 as he expanded his plumbing and heating business. Although there had been many warehouses constructed along Sophia Street due to its proximity to the Rappahannock River in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, many business owners began to build warehouses on the edges of town where the buildings were easily accessible by trucks during the early-twentieth century. Helfin’s warehouse was one of few warehouses constructed downtown during this transitional period. The building later housed a series of car dealerships and a furniture store during the second half of the twentieth century. The warehouse was demolished in 2016.
