Hand measuring an endangered slave quarters building at Oak Hill Plantation in Danville, Virginia

Documenting historic landscapes, buildings, and architectural features is an important facet of historic preservation. In addition to doing basic architectural photography, I can produce measured drawings both by hand and in AutoCAD. In addition to physically measuring historic buildings in the field, I have used total station surveys, photogrammetry, and laser scanning to create measured drawings. I am also able to produce 3D models of historic buildings and interiors in SketchUp to guide treatment decisions and the interpretation of these spaces.
